Did some art docenting today with the 1st Graders...we discussed Eugène Delacroix's 'Frightened Horse' in 1st Grade art today...Girl: You call tell the horse is scared because of the lightning in the sky, which means there's thunder, too, and by the size of his eye, and he's rearing, and it's probably dark out. Boy: He's afraid of the crocodiles coming from the lake and why doesn't he have wings?
We then drew some horses using circles and triangles. Then created little monster creepy beasties.
